Major Cathedral
Building was started on the cathedral in 1852 by the architect, Espérandieu, in a Romanesque Byzantine style, particularly fashionable at the time.

Les Goudes
This completely different, highly authentic fishing port seems to be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by small creeks, ideal for diving and swimming. It is a popular place with people from Marseille in the summertime.

Accoules Bell-Tower
The only remains of one of Marseille's oldest churches which stands at the entrance to the Panier quarter.

Palais Longchamp
This imposing edifice was built by the Nîmes architect, Henri Espérandieu, from 1862 to 1869. In the centre is the water tower with fountains; it is linked by colonnades to the Fine Arts museum on the left and the Natural History museum on the right.
