Church of Saint Francis
Erected in the 13th C., this church is one of the most beautiful examples of the Gothic style in Italy. Notice the three magnificent arches of the glossers, and the remarkable apsidal group. Inside is an altarpiece made of marble by the Venetian sculptor Paolo delle Masegne (1392).

Arch street (Via delle Volte)
This curious street is made up of volte, arches or covered passages which joined the houses of the tradespeople to their shops, which have become the emblem of medieval Ferrara.

Bevilacqua Palace
This beautiful Renaissance building ornamented with bossages was built in the Florentine style introduced to Bologna by the Magistrate Giovanni II Bentivoglio.

Church of the Madonna of Saint Luke
A portico measuring 4 Km and made of 666 arches, connects this church (built in the 18th C.) to the city. It also offers a beautiful view of Bologna and the Apennine mountains, and is the home of the Madonna of Saint Luke, a Byzantine-style painting from the 12th C., which gives the church its name.
