Places of Interest
Chester Zoo <!-- AttractionsAndLeisureActivities isempty -->

A splendid zoo where the animals are housed and displayed in spacious enclosures, separated from the public by moats and flowerbeds rather than cages. An overhead railway provides a good view and a relaxing tour.

New Town <!-- UrbanAndNaturalAreas isempty -->

The present town of Denbigh is located on either side of the High Street, its main thoroughfare where a market is held on Wednesdays. At the top of Vale Street is County Hall (1572) containing the library and a small museum where a model of the town in 1610 is on display.

St Asaph <!-- ReligiousBuildings isempty -->

The present cathedral dates mainly from the 13C and is surprising in such a small village. St Kentigern founded the first cathedral and a monastic community on the site in AD 560.

Bluecoat Chambers <!-- CivilAndHistoricArchitecture isempty -->

This Queen Anne era building surrounding a cobbled courtyard became a charity school in 1717 but is now plays host to the Merseyside Arts Trust and a variety of different exhibitions.
