If you want some culture while in 'the Windy City', you should consider visiting the Art Institue on Michigan Avenue. You can't miss it with its two big lions guarding the entrance. And if Narural History is your thing, a short trip South on Lake Shore Drive (just a few metres from the edge of Lake Michigan)will take you to the Field Museum a world leader in Natural History. And right next to it is the Adler Planetarium. Of course, as the song says, there is also State Street, that great street, where they do things they don't do on Broadway! It's not two minutes from the Art Institute and has the world famous Marshall Field Deartment Store. Sort of a cross between harrods and Selfridges. Did you know it was designed by the same architect who built Selfridges? You can tell! On the other hand, you could just go to the beach! Yes, in the middle of the United States you will find some great sandy beaches on the Shore of Lake Michigan. There's definitely a lot to see and do in Chicago! - Jean Marie, London
