Porte de Roubaix
This surviving gateway of the old Spanish perimeter wall, which was bored out in 1621 to make way for a new tramway.

Belle Godshuis Museum
This museum, housed in the Belle Hospice chapel, contains antique furniture, silver and goldwork, priests habits, paintings or other works of art. Note the Virgin and Donors (1420) a fine composition on a gold background.

Town Hall
The Town Hall, facing the Fine Arts Museum, was built on the site of the former 11C St Martin's Abbey, whose Romanesque crypt still exists. The former abbot's palace (1763), designed by Laurent Dewez, has fine neo-Classical façades.
