We hadn't intended in hiring a car in Mallorca but after a couple of days of rain we had to make the best of it! Resorts are ten a penny in Mallorca so it is often good to escape and head further afield. Palma had always been recommended to us, but we'd never really taken it for anything other than an airport and provincial capital. The architecture is great, the harbour is stunning and a great place to people watch, the restaurants are buzzing and seem to offer really excellent food and it's also a place that comes alive at night. Worth a visit if you hire a car in Mallorca - Michael, Swansea
