Barrio de la Viña
This popular traditional district is one the most typical of the town. Originally, it was a modest district far from the port and the business area and often hit by bad weather. Today it is known for hosting every year the Carnival of Cadiz, one of the most colourful and lively in the peninsula. Around the Church of the Palm, in a circular, Baroque plan (start of the18C), tapas bars are in abundance where you can try some delicious fish.

Plaza del Arenal
A area for games during the Moslem period, this square today is still a place for meetings and festivities. The central monument, by Mariano Benlliure, is dedicated to a son of Jerez, Miguel Primo de Rivera.

Plaza de Rafael Rivero
On this small square is the palace of the Pérez Luna, the beautiful façade of which dates from the end of the18C. Next to it, the house of the Villavicencio has a delightful patio.

Saint Denis's Church
The church, very clearly influenced by the Mudéjar style, is dedicated to Saint Denis, the patron saint of the town. The main splayed doorway is topped by a small porch roof. The whole is rather lacking in grace but note the strange corbels level with the roof.
