The network of lakes and reservoirs among woods and light-coloured rocks in the heart of the Parque Ardales is a wonderful place for a country holiday. The paths, the silence, the pure air, the hilltop views and the climate all contribute to making this a magical spot.

The palaeo-Christian edifice dating from the 6C has three aisles and two apses facing each other. Excavations have unearthed several tombs containing precious funerary objects.

The main portal of this 16C church is an interesting example of Plateresque style; it is topped with an elegant 18C tower made up of four bodies, an emblematic image of Antequera. Inside, among the many masterpieces, note the sculpture of the Virgine of Hope from the 15C and some pieces by Antonio Mohedano, a manneristic painter.

This small museum, housed in the building of the old 16C Bazán Hospital, is the only one in Spain to offer a monograph of 20C engraving. The works of engraving artists such as Tàpies, Alberti, Chillida and Maruja Mallo are very well presented.
