Cathedral Square
This square located on Saint Just Hill, in the center of Trieste includes the remains of a Roman basilica, taken over by a castle, a Venetian column dating from 1560, the altar of the IIIrd Army, inaugurated in 1929 and the Basilica of Saint Just. A perfect summary of the history of the city.

Rampart walk
This pleasantly quiet quayside skirts the ramparts and runs alongside the town behind the Euphrasian basilica. The walk commands lovely views of the sea in an atmosphere of peace and quiet. It is a side of Porec known only to joggers, solitary walkers and lovers.

Museums
The archaeological museum and the early-Christian museum unite an important collection of objects taken from the Aquilea excavations; the archaeological museum houses a beautiful collection of portraits among which you will probably recognise Tiberius and young Augustus.
