St Ann's <!-- ReligiousBuildings isempty -->

Established in 1709 and consecrated in 1712, this church is an excellent example of a Renaissance style Church but with surprisingly sober and austere architecture. The plastered ceilings are bordered with moulding and inside the Virgin chapel you can see a Queen Anne style high altar, which was donated by the Church's founder, lady Ann Bland.

Liverpool Museum <!-- Museums isempty -->

This museum relives the life and hopes of its townsfolk, whose lives hinged on the docks, the railways and the car factories.

Royal Exchange Theatre <!-- CivilAndHistoricArchitecture isempty -->

The Manchester cotton exchange was the cornerstone in the trade of this fibre - a building to which the city used to owe its prosperity. The pure water from the Pennines, the high water table and a large workforce also helped the cotton industry to prosper. The cotton value on the cotton exchange's last ever day of trading is still there for every one to see, high up on a board on the wall. Today this huge hall is partly taken up by the 700 seats of the Royal Exchange Theatre.
