Church
This church stands above the central square with a large Romanesque belltower on four floors of arcades (the steeple was added in the 16C). Inside, there is a wide nave from the early Baroque period and monumental statues with retables of local black marble. Not far from here, the chapel of the Ossuary, in the late Gothic style, contains 16C frescos.

Banks
The banks (Schweizerhofquai, Nationalquai), are planted with trees and lined with palaces and offer fine views of the town, the lake of Four Cantons, and beyond, over the Alps from the Rigi to the Pilate. Along the lake, you will reach Carlspitelerquai, at the end of which stand some pleasant green spaces and the Lido beach.

Richard Wagner Museum
Pleasantly situated on a headland in the middle of a park heading down to the lake, this was the home of Richard Wagner from 1866-1872. Here is where he met Nietzsche and composed some of his major works (Meistersingers, Siegfried, Gotterdammerrung). On the ground floor are various souvenirs including the Erard piano that accompanied him on varioius journeys.

Museum of Fine Arts
This museum is worth a visit for the works of Martin Disteli (1802-1844) in several of the rooms. His caricatures, studies and drawings are remarkably detailed and among the most interesting items.
