If you head for London when you leave Gatwick Airport in your rental car, the first
major towns you approach will be Croydon and Greenwich. Whilst historic, Croydon
has developed into a modern town with extensive shopping centres and the popular
Surrey Street Market. Greenwich is known for its maritime history and is a lovely
base where you can leave your hire car and walk for miles through Greenwich Park,

Driving from Gatwick Airport to the vibrant seaside city of Brighton in East Sussex

away by rental car. There are also excellent “A” roads that lead to places such
as Horsham, Petworth, Arundel, Chichester or the coastal town of Bognor Regis.
