Make sure you visit the Cincinnati Zoo, internationally renowned for its endangered species collection. With orang-utans, gorillas and even white tigers, it’s a zoo full of wonders. There’s even a children’s area where you can pet some of the more domesticated animals! The Botanical Garden attached to the zoo recreates a rainforest habitat (among others), complete with thousands of butterflies and hummingbirds. Cincinnati’s Museum Center is based in an old art-deco railway station. The fascinating Museum of Natural History and Science features wonderful interactive exhibitions that are perfect for kids, while the Cincinnati Historical Museum has displays on local life through the ages.
