easyCar now expands into vans and one-way rentals

05 January 2006

In the past two years easyCar has grown from a car rental company with about 50 locations to one with more than 2,000 locations in 42 countries around the world. This huge growth has been managed through partnership agreements with other established car hire companies so that easyCar can now give its customers best value car hire in many parts of the world.
Fuelled by this success, easyCar is expanding its offering to include both van rentals and one-way rentals from Monday 9 January.
Van rentals with easyCar.com start at prices as low as £24.50 per day at 80 locations in the UK. Five sizes of van are on offer with a load capacity from 550kg to 1410kg - and the vehicles are, or are similar to, Peugeot Partner, Ford Transit, Peugeot Boxer 350, Mercedes Sprinter high roof and Transit Luton. The easyCar van offering is working in partnership with Northgate plc, the UK's largest van leasing and hire company.
Also on next Monday easyCar is introducing one-way rentals in 9 European countries and Morocco, followed by the UK a week later and then at more easyCar locations. One-way rentals are where drivers can collect a vehicle at one location and leave it at a separate location at the end of the rental agreement. Since one-way rentals are more expensive for car hire companies (sometimes the vehicle has to be driven back to its original location by a car hire employee), this service will have an additional charge which will be stated at www.easyCar.com.
"easyCar has now grown into a profitable company which has always been making a difference in consumers' lives by offering best value motoring. Both van rentals and one-way rentals for cars are examples of making a difference in more and more ways to more and more people" said Stelios the serial entrepreneur and founder of easyCar.
