Escape the heat and buzz of the city in its cool, beautiful cloisters or take a look at the ornate old tiles and sculptures. Of course, you may just want to sip a cold drink by Faro’s fishing harbour and watch the world go by!

Another fascinating place to visit is the nearby town of Olhao, with its almost cubist Moorish architecture and boisterous (somewhat pungent!) fish markets!
