InterRent car rental age requirements
How old do you have to be to rent a car from InterRent?
When hiring a car through InterRent in the UK, you must be at least 21 years of age. A young driver surcharge will be applied to those between the ages of 21-24. This costs £35 per day up to a maximum of £350.
To rent select vehicles types, you may need to be over 25 years old.
InterRent’s age policy may vary slightly by UK city and location, so always double check the specific T&C’s.
In Spain, you may be as young as 19 to rent a car with InterRent so long as you have held your driving licence for at least one year.
Those 24 and under are subject to pay a young driver fee of €8.50 per day up to a maximum of €93.
To rent certain InterRent vehicles, you will have to be a minimum of 25 years old.
To rent an InterRent vehicle in France, you must be at least 21 years old. However, young drivers between the ages of 21-24 are required to pay a young driver surcharge of €12.95 per day up to a maximum of €181.
No surcharge is applied to those aged 25 and above.
In France, drivers must also have held their full licence for a minimum of four years in order to hire with InterRent.
