The Bronx – Amongst the boroughs dense apartment blocks, you’ll find Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Zoo, and New York’s Botanical Garden. The birthplace of hip-hop, the Bronx has a rough and tough reputation, but a visit may have you thinking otherwise.

Central Park – After trying keep up with New York’s energetic fervor, some down time in the park will be a necessity. Central park is an oasis in the urban jungle. The 843-acre green space is perfect for almost any outdoor activity, from biking, to ice-skating and fishing.

Coney Island – Between 1880 and World War II, Coney Island was the largest amusement are in the US. As both a residential neighbourhood and entertainment destination, locals and tourists gather in the peak of summer to enjoy the beach. This seaside playground still reminisces in its American pop culture roots.

Williamsburg – This Brooklyn neighbourhood has become the modern hipster retreat. You’ll find a wealth of restaurants here setting the latest culinary trends and a dusk-till-dawn nightlife that doesn’t shy away from the spotlight.

Greenwich Village – Referred to simply as “the Village”, this neighbourhood was the original congregation point for artists and countercultural movements. Located on the west side of Lower Manhattan, it has transformed from bohemian outpost to upscale hangout.

SoHo – This is New York’s prime shop-till-you-drop neighbourhood. It is a sophisticated mix of fashion, art and business. Luxury boutiques and pricey commercial brands will provide plenty of retail therapy.
