Beyond Zaragoza
Huesca
Encased in over 2,000 years of history, Huesca is a living museum. While tracing the city’s old medieval walls and labyrinth of narrow streets, you will stumble upon one monumental building after another. Watching over the city is the impressive 13th century Huesca Cathedral, whose striking facade crowns the building as the city’s architectural jewel.
Huesca is around an hour's drive from Zaragoza to Huesca and if you’re up for it, you can drive further east for another hour until you reach the Pyrenees mountains. Making this drive is highly recommended but before you do, be sure to fuel yourself with Huesca’s local culinary delicacy Ajoarriero de Husca, cod in oil and garlic.
