Centauro car rental age requirements
How old do you have to be to rent a car from Centauro?
The minimum age to rent a vehicle with Centauro in Spain is 21 years old.
However, those between the ages of 21-24 must pay a young driver fee of 15€ for one or two day rentals. If you rent a car for 3-12 days, the charge drops to 5€ per day up to a maximum of 70€ per rental.
Unlike many car rental companies, Centauro allows young drivers to rent an car they have in their fleet.
Drivers over 75 years old are required to pay the same fees as young drivers.
In Portugal, Centauro allows young drivers aged 21-24 to rent their vehicles.
Drivers 24 and under are responsible for paying a surcharge of 5€ per day for rentals between 3-12 days. If you rent a vehicle for over 12 days, there is a maximum charge of 70€, while a 12€ fee is applied to one or two day rentals.
Senior drivers, 75 years and older, must also pay the same surcharge as young drivers.
Although Centauro’s age restrictions in Italy are the same as in Spain and Portugal – you must be at least 21-24 years old – its young driver surcharge differs.
In Italy, young drivers are required to pay 26€ for one or two day rentals and 13€ per day for rentals between 3-12 days. The maximum charge per rental is 182€.
Drivers over the age of 75 are also required to pay an additional fee up to a maximum of 70€ per rental.
