Sicily by Car was founded in 1963 with a fleet of just four cars. In 1997, it expanded beyond the regional boundaries of Sicily after being bought by Auto Europa. It has since become a nationwide car rental company, and has even set up branches in Albania. Sicily by Car has an extensive fleet of over 20,000 vehicles, which includes everything from electric bikes and cars to vans.

How old do you have to be to rent a car from Sicily by Car?
To rent a vehicle with Sicily by Car, you must be a minimum of 19 years old. Young drivers aged 19-20 are required to pay an extra fee of €30 per day, while those 21-22 will be charged an additional €20 per day up to a maximum of €200 per rental. Drivers 23 years and older can rent most classes of car and will not incur a young driver fee, however, you must be 25 and above to rent certain vehicles.
The maximum age to rent with Sicily by Car is 80 and all drivers, regardless of age, must have held their licence for at least one year and one day.
