The Dartford Crossing is a major eastbound and westbound crossing, which runs across the River Thames between Dartford and Thurrock. The Dart Charge is a toll that requires drivers to pay online or by phone, and there is an automatic number plate recognition scheme in place.
You must pay the Dartford Crossing charge by midnight the day after you cross. For regular cars, the current charge is £2.50 per crossing. This does not apply between 10pm and 6am.
