Hire a car in Preston
An old guild city, Preston became England's 50th city in 2002.
Situated in one of the country's tastiest counties, make your way to the area's hearty British pubs and restaurants for a feast of local produce and freshly caught seafood.
The city is touted as Lancashire's shopping headquarters, so make sure to have plenty of free boot space. Alternatively, wander out to any of nearby nature reserves or take a drive to the coast, which is much closer than you may expect.
