Santa Gertrudis
The Notting Hill of Ibiza is a traditional town set deep within the heart of the island with a charming, bohemian atmosphere. The area has a warm and slightly eccentric vibe; it’s a welcome place to stop, spend a few hours exploring and grab a bite.
San Lorenzo (Sant Llorenc de Balafia)
A few kilometres down the road from Santa Gertrudis, this tiny town is probably best known for Paloma Cafe. This Italian restaurant is famed for its wholesome menu. You can even snack off fresh fruit straight from the trees if you time it right.

Starter – Ensalada Payesa

An island specialty, this tasty stew was once a fisherman’s cuisine. The dish often contains many different types of fish and isn’t for the faint hearted. Served with an aioli sauce.
Dessert – Orelletes
A typical Ibizan dessert, the shape of which resembles an ear. These small treats are flavoured with lemon and aniseed and fried in oil.
Snack – Ensaïmadas
A Mallorcan pastry stuffed with almond butter, worth trying when you’re visiting the Balearics.
Drink – Hierbas Ibicencas
Once produced by monks, this Balearic specialty is a herb-based liqueur with digestive properties. A bit like marmite, you’ll love it or hate it.
