Denmark driving tips
There are no toll roads in Denmark, but you will come across two toll bridges.
The Storebælt Bridge connects the Zealand and Funen islands, and is an impressive 6,790 metres long. The price to use this motorway isn’t cheap – as of 2018, driving across in a standard car will set you back 228 DKK (which is nearly £30!).
The Øresund Bridge connects Denmark to Sweden and costs around £45, but it is certainly the most thrilling way to travel between these two Scandi countries.
Parking
You must display a parking disc in your car at all times. A rental car should already have one attached to the windscreen, but they can be bought at petrol stations. It works like a clock – simply set it to the time you parked up so wardens know how long the car has been there.
